In this weeks lab session we were asked to use a zsphere model and to experiment with re-meshing it and creating an adaptive skin. I started with the black bear model and created an adaptive skin. By turning up the DynaMesh resolution and the density, it smoothed out the zspeheres and created an easier skin to work on. I then cleared the canvas and inserted the new adaptive skin model. This week in our lab we were asked to create an animal of our choice using Z-spheres. I chose to create a pigeon as I thought it would be an easy and simple shape to start off with. It was a little difficult to get my head around, but once I got the hang of moving and arranging the Z-spheres I actually enjoyed myself. This week in our lab session we created a pumpkin. We utilised the dynamesh tool in Zbrush to recalculate and optimise the topology of our models after intense modelling. This week I also tried the masking tool to help model more effectively and I also used the paint tool for the first time to colour in my pumpkin. I gave him some teeth for affect.
