Computer monitor and weapons cabinet For my secret agent base I decided to make my first asset a computer monitor. I created this using various polygons and the use of the extrude tool on one of the faces. I also chose to model a weapons cabinet – I referenced a website on the internet for my inspiration. High poly to low poly
Week 3’s task was to explore the idea of high poly modelling and low poly modelling by making a crate. I first started with a cylinder and used that to make this shape. I did this by extruding and reshaping the edges. When I was happy with the shape I mirrored it to create what will be the handle. When mirroring I came across this issue – I fixed this by merging the vertices. I then created the other boards … Continue reading “High poly to low poly”
3D Table project
We were asked to create a table scene with a cloth and bowl of fruit for this activity. I struggled in the beginning but it became easier as I got more used to the interface. Firstly I created the table using the CV curves and revolve tool. After this I attempted to create the table cloth using the CV curve and loft tool. I then attempted to make the cloth hang over the table using the vertex mode. I struggled … Continue reading “3D Table project”
My 3D mug
We were asked to create a 3d mug using the software MAYA. I had never used MAYA before so I knew that I would struggle. I found the interface difficult and it was hard to focus on. However, for my first attempt I’m actually proud of how my mug turned out. First I added a cylinder and adjusted its height and subdivisions to what I needed. After this I inserted some edge loops and and tested what it would look … Continue reading “My 3D mug”
