High poly to low poly

Week 3’s task was to explore the idea of high poly modelling and low poly modelling by making a crate. I first started with a cylinder and used that to make this shape. I did this by extruding and reshaping the edges. When I was happy with the shape I mirrored it to create what will be the handle. Typographical logo

Designing with shapes For this task we were asked to explore shapes and composition and come up with a graphic based around our current typographical logo. Typographical logo

Adding colour I first decided how I was going to remove my name from the logo. I decided to change the lettering to say ‘Chart readings’ (referring to star charts). I figured out that the crescent moon used for my second name would work well as the capital C in ‘Chart readings’ as well as this, the moon relates to the reading of the stars. Purpose and audience

Analysing design choices. https://www.horoscope.com/us/index.aspx This is the website that I analysed. This website offers free horoscopes, zodiac and tarot readings. Their audience will presumably be spiritual people, the age and gender are so variant that the designs must be universal and acceptable to a multitude of beliefs and people. The logo itself is a modern bold font. The bold typeface allows the logo to use the same gradient colour palette. Seaside Collage

This week we were asked to create a British seaside inspired collage. I chose to use images that I remember from my childhood trips to the beach. I used adobe colour to create a colour palette and tried to incorporate images with similar colours.

3D Table project

We were asked to create a table scene with a cloth and bowl of fruit for this activity. I struggled in the beginning but it became easier as I got more used to the interface. Firstly I created the table using the CV curves and revolve tool. After this I attempted to create the table cloth using the CV curve and loft tool.
