My name is Jess and I am a digital designer and artist in Hull, UK. Over the past few years I’ve been able to work on a variety of projects from 3D modelling to Creative Business on my Digital Design degree. I would say my strengths are in illustration and digital art but I also really enjoy web design, programming and graphic design. This page is a collection of all of my favourite projects and my current art and illustration portfolio.

PORTFOLIO
As well as building a portfolio, I have also been teaching myself a new skill: the basics of tattooing. I bought myself a tattoo machine earlier in the year and have been focusing on the fundamentals of tattooing. I have been doing this by watching tutorials and using fake skin to practise on. (Of course I don’t plan to practise on any real skin unless fully qualified).
PROJECTS
2D Graphic Design
Cozy Club – group branding project.
This project was really fun as I got the chance to work alongside some of my friends in creating a brand. We created a cafe and coffee brand. My role was to create various assets such as packaging and advertisements.
Create Crate – Creative Business
In this project we were asked to create a business idea and a website to advertise our brand on. My brand was an art subscription service. For this I made some 3D assets as well as multiple illustrations and advertisements.
Comic book – Storytelling project
In my third year of my degree I worked on a storytelling project in which I worked on creating a comic book. I did a lot of research and work into the character designs and illustrations for each page.

Coding Projects
Before my final year of university I taught myself how to code. I did this by enrolling in and completing a coding camp. I really enjoyed doing this and upon my completion I had the opportunity to work alongside a senior designer in finalising and editing a few live web pages. This was a really great experience and its a skill that I am extremely glad I have.
3D Character Design
This was one of my highest marked projects at university and definitely also one of my favourites. I surprisingly really enjoyed using ZBrush even though I really didn’t like MAYA in first year and I subsequently made something that I am really proud of. I really enjoyed the storytelling and the character design aspect of this project but the modelling was great fun too.
Other 3D Projects
This dragon skull was my first attempt at using ZBrush and this was when I realised I really enjoyed it. I have experience sculpting traditionally and really enjoy it so I feel this helped when modelling digitally in this way.
