Our group generally worked well together. Corey was the team leader however I felt that all of us had a good amount of input regarding the direction that our project took. As we were a group of friends it was easy to communicate our ideas with each other and what we liked and didn’t like however I do think there was a breakdown in communication towards the middle of our project. We are creative individuals and were extremely passionate about the project, we had our own ideas of how we thought the café should look which left our project feeling a little disjointed, with different fonts and colours being used on visuals. Eventually we sat down with each other and had an honest conversation about the branding, we decided on specific fonts and colours. This made it feel cohesive. Overall, I think working with friends was a good choice, we are all similar and supported each other’s vision: ‘All lasting business is built on friendship’. (Montapert, Alfred. A)
Corey excells in 3D so he worked on creating the cafe in a 3D environment which neither me or Joey felt comfortable doing. Joey worked on the website and merchandise using some of the visuals I had created (The logo and menus) and creating social media advertisements with them. Joey also created his own visuals and built a functioning website.
I feel that my role in the team was important as I created a lot of the visuals and branding that both Corey and Joey used to create their content (as shown above) but I would never have been able to do it without them.
