For my poster I have decided to focus on something that I am passionate about which is wildlife conservation. I am aiming to create a poster that raises awareness for British wildlife conservation and encourages people to take action. My audience will be families and people of all ages, aiming to reach as many people as possible. I could see my poster being displayed in wildlife reserves and around countryside areas urging people to take action where it is most needed.
I have found a few examples of posters that have inspired me.

This poster (created for world wildlife day) depicts the earth and inside the earth a circle containing multiple animals and plants including humans. I think this poster is extremely effective as it shows animals and humans co-existing in this circle maybe illustrating that we are all in this world together and the quotation ‘sustaining all life on earth’ suggests that we depend on one another. The purpose of this poster is to raise awareness for world wildlife day and I think it is initially eye-catching enough to do so, yet the more you look the more you find.

This poster is definitely thought provoking, distressing and probably aimed at a younger or more millennial audience because of the computer reference. This poster really emphasises the impact that you as the viewer have. The point of view is as if you are looking down the barrel of a gun about to hunt the tiger, yet you also have the power to easily stop it. The wwf have an online shop where you can donate money to the organisation which is perhaps what the computer style ‘stop’ pop up relates to, it encourages the user to make a difference and shows it as easy as pressing a button.
